Our Top Picks: By the Glass or Bottle
These are three of our favorites that range in both price and flavor, so there’s something for everyone:
- The Rombauer Chardonnay is a top pick for its light fruit flavors, perfectly balanced with citrusy acidity and a delicate creamy texture. Available only by the bottle, we particularly like to pair this Napa favorite with our Cilantro Lime Shrimp or our Wood-Fired Rainbow Trout.
- Old Vine Zin is one of our favorite recommendations to pair with Parkway’s heartier dishes — especially those that have been finished in our wood-fired oven like our Baby Back Ribs or Duroc Pork Chop. This Zinfandel is affordable and available both by the glass and by the bottle, but it’s certainly not lacking in full-bodied and spicy flavor.
- One of our favorite Cabernets at Parkway, available only by the bottle, is Silver Oak from Alexander Valley. If you aren’t familiar with this Sonoma standout, it’s universally beloved for good reason. It’s also one of the rarer picks for wine bars in Kansas City area due to its limited availability.

Daily Wine Specials: Kansas City’s Happy Hour Spot
Weekdays from 3 to 7 p.m. you can enjoy house wine for just $5, which has made Parkway a prime spot for wine happy hour. Kansas City locals stop in after work for a glass (or two) and to meet up with friends, and visitors taking advantage of Plaza shopping will hit us up for the best wine prices in Kansas City.
Those wine specials also extend to our daily late-night happy hour, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Want to stick around for a few glasses? Might as well grab a bite to eat. During our happy hour, select appetizers and sides are half off, and you can receive special prices on beers and select spirits.
