Plaza Happy Hour Drinks

Parkway’s Plaza happy hour menu has a little something for everyone, with great beers, an extensive wine list and cocktails that rival any bar in the city. Grab any beer for $2 off the regular price, or try one of the amazing wines for $3 off. Parkway features a heavy rotation of Kansas City’s own Boulevard Brewing Company on tap, so you can drink cheap and local.

If you’re in need of something stronger, our spirits list will accommodate you. During happy hour on the Kansas City Plaza, you can choose from select spirits at $5 off the regular price. There are shots and sippers on the menu. Whatever you’re in the mood for, Parkway’s happy hour menu has it.

You can’t leave without trying one of Parkway’s signature cocktails. Our bartenders approach the drinks with the same mentality head chef John Hammack approaches food: It’s all about quality. There’s no need to reinvent, or to come up with something you’ve never heard of before. Rather, Parkway makes the classics. We just do it better than ever.

Parkway’s signature cocktails will feel familiar, and they’re always delicious. Any of these drinks are a great way to end a happy hour on the Kansas City Plaza.

  • Fig Old Fashioned: The Old Fashioned is arguably the cornerstone of all cocktails. Most bar enthusiasts trace its roots back over 200 years. It’s reliable, and it has stood the test of time. Parkway’s Fig Old Fashioned is a slight twist on the classic recipe — not so different that you won’t recognize it, but unique enough to give you a new experience. This Fig Old Fashioned is built on Parkway’s house-infused fig and vanilla bean whiskey, perfectly mixed with maple simple syrup and bitters. Sip it slow and savor it — you’ll want more when it’s gone.
  • The King of Swing: This is a house favorite among bartenders and Plaza happy hour goers alike. The King of Swing is a local beverage that builds its house on Kansas City’s own Mean Mule Pure Agave Spirit. Combined with St. Germaine elderflower liqueur, Aperol, fresh grapefruit juice and a splash of lime, the King of Swing brings a bright citrus flavor that rests right in between sweet and mellow. If you’re feeling something fruity, this is your drink.
  • Parkway Sangria: Sangria is a traditional drink with a thousand variations. A quick search will yield websites listing the six, or 10, or 50 best ways to make sangria. But, why worry about making sangria at all when the bartenders at Parkway can do it for you? For a fruity and refreshing addition to your happy hour on the Plaza in Kansas City, order Parkway’s sangria, with your choice of red or white wine.

Why Not Stay for Dinner?

Hopefully, happy hour has you feeling good. That is the whole point, after all. Why not stay for dinner?

Parkway’s dinner menu is available starting at 4 p.m. That two-hour overlap is a great chance to fill up with Parkway’s delicious take on classic comfort foods with your bargain beverages. An appetizer plate of our stuffed tater tots or a sandwich like the Grilled Chipotle Chicken served with seasoned fries is the perfect match for your Plaza happy hour drink.

Either way — if you’re just going for drinks or if you’re staying around for the food — Parkway is your destination for a great happy hour on the Plaza in Kansas City. Drop in anytime between 3–6 and see for yourself.
